Not so perfect...

Happy Valentines Day, although its almost over here. Today was a great day... well not so perfect day but nothing to complain about. I woke up this morning to roses, chocolate, and a cute little piece of art from hubby... We also took Xavier to the zoo for the first time. I think he was a little confused and for the most part was just happy to be outside. We stayed for maybe 30mintues. It was cold and I was in pain which figures since I am almost 34 weeks along....

Anyway, I have been totally wanting to do something crafty lately so I thought it would be a good idea to try making Xavier a quilt for his birthday, plenty of time because his birthday isn't until March 30th. The only thing is I know myself, I would probably buy a bunch of fabric but never have all the supplies to finish a quilt... So, I ordered a custom quilt with pretty much everything I needed from etsy seller starlitnest. Shes super helpful and put together a great little kit! So today when I got home I pieced everything together and managed to finish the quilt top. Ok, its not perfect but I am so happy with it so far... why, because I usually give up on things like this... and what do I expect, this is my first time.


Only thing is I dont have a walking foot so I cant finish it anytime soon so maybe next weekend!... Yea, its pretty much as bright and coloful in real life... LOVE... Althought I took this picture in the worst light.

Tomorrow is maternity/ family pictures.... YAY!

Slacker....

Yes I have been sucking at blogging but I promise I have thought about it several times.. =) Anyway, everything has been good here... I am almost 32 weeks preggers!!! OMG 32 weeks thats scary to think a little one in around 8 weeks! I have been going through the "nesting" mode, wanting to clean clean clean and I have also been really interested in picking up a new hobby. I bought some fabric and when it gets here I am going to attempt to make Xavier a quilt for his birthday!

Other then that we are getting maternity/ family pictures done next Sunday. I am so excited for this because we never got family pictures with Xavier and it seems like something that needs to be done. My idea was to do an urban style shoot in front of graffiti so we went and checked out a location I found online a week or so again. It is so awesome... here is a picture I took of it today.

I think it will be a lot of fun!!! Well hope everyone had a great week!

Random-ness

Thought I would do a quick post... its currently 12:57 at night and I just finished my homework... Honestly school is so frustrating and I keep thinking it was my worst mistake (going back). I am taking a storyboarding class where I have to draw, thing is I cant draw... its SO embarrassing being in a class of talented people and being he worst one! I think the frustration plus pregnancy are getting to me with my emotions and all....

Other then that it was hubbys birthday yesterday (or today because I havent slept)... He is the big 2-5 now =) I dont think hes very excited but we went out to dinner and I made him hot wings his favorite...

I am honestly so in LOVE with my Fuji Instax Mini... Its one of my favorite things and I think in 2 weeks I have gone through 5 or 6 packs of film... the pictures look SO much better then polaroids. Brandon actually got me polariod film for xmas and I was super excited. The other day I was taking random pictures with the Fuji and decided to use my polariod and its a huge difference... PS sorry for the finger prints/ dust/ lint on the pictures... super quick scans!

Bummed....

Well winter break has been just great... A nice little break from the long 12+ hour days I spend stuck at home with Xavier.... although I love his company it can get lonely... Anyway, tomorrow it goes back to "normal". Hubby gone from 7am-9pm and even earlier or later some days =(... The snow days were nice because they gave hubby extra days off. Speaking of snow in less then an hour tonight the street is covered in it but I hear it will rain soon.

Oh and Happy New Years... My resolutions are to:

• Have More Patience
  

I think the money thing is a given but having patience is the big one for me. It will allow me to enjoy every second with my family without getting too frustrated in the bumps along the way. Especially those i cant control....

I think the baby is the hugest thing or adjustment for our family... I guess thats it for now. I burnt my finger on a pan so typing is pretty painful.

Hi There

I'm currently just sitting here waiting for Mr. Comcast Man to come install phone service... Why do they always seem to take forever to come? Anyway, I guess its the perfect time to blog. We came back home from my parents house on Sunday. It was a nice much needed break from being snowed in, although we were still kind of snowed in there. Luckily my dad claims to be an "expert driver" and took me everywhere I wanted to go!

Christmas was great... a lot of our gifts we had to leave back at home because we didn't want to lug everything around with us to our parents. Hubby and I did some present opening on the Monday before Christmas to get some of the gifts out of the way and the rest were of course opened on Christmas Day.

I probably forgot some things but I must say it was an awesome Christmas. Hubby managed to remember everything I wanted and even got me some fun surprises. The Tokidoki bag is the perfect laptop bag and I just love it... We both got new iPhones so Xavier was happy to take our old iPhones... He currently is walking around with both of them. I think Xaviers favorite gift had to be all his new toys or his DJ set... wait no, maybe the new LCD TV his grandparents got him along with DVD player for his Blues Clues DVDs that he is in love with....

Anyway we all feel so blessed this holiday. I was so worried we would be snowed in but luckily we left just before the next storm rolled through! Now back to waiting for the Comcast Man...

We made it...

Its snowed a lot here... and sometime yesterday we decided to book it home for the holidays... we figured that the weather man "says" it will snow again before christmas and why be stuck without family... But wow its a lot worse where my parents live! Their entire neighborhood is covered in ice and there is over a foot of snow! More to come from what I hear but lets hope it melts.

Pretty much just relaxed today.. made some sugar cookies with my baby brother and Xavier decorated some of his own for Santa! So cute =) Speaking of Xavi he manged to wake up with a puffy eye yeserday morning and today its a black eye... it looks like its getting better though... poor baby...

Nothing too much to share but I thought I would take some time to blog...

I am officially 24 weeks and kicking with the pregnancy... its horrible that I have not taken a belly picture through this pregnancy. I for some reason feel more fat then pregnant and am waiting for the moment where it just hits me. Honestly I am taking things slow and totally am not in a rush for this pregnancy to be over. I am just trying to enjoy Xavier being my only child for now =).

So I have sucked at scrapbooking and/or keeping up with the journal I wanted to do something a little different for the new year so I got this on ebay.

Its the Fuji Instax Mini 25.... it takes cute little wallet size Polaroids... Perfect for keeping memories over the new year.Plus they have hello kitty film!!! How can you go wrong with HK??? Although, I do have all men in my life (Xavier, Brandon, and Baby in Belly) so HK probably won't be used as much.... AND they have little mini albums too that fit in the little photos... Perfect.... I guess with not having a lot of time to do other journaling to keep memories this will be just right...

Other then that it has been very cold, icy, and snowy here lately... Oddly enough it snowed everywhere but out little city today... it was like we just got missed which is fine...

Hopefully next time I blog I will have something a little more interesting to share!
